  1. Hi Jeremy. We met at ECCC this year. We spent some time chatting about what it is like to be a colorist and how the process works. I live in Portland. I am a graphic designer that has done mostly corporate work and would love to finally start working on some passion projects.

I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed our conversation. It was pretty inspiring. When I came home from ECCC, I immediately started working on some projects that I have been kicking around for quite some time in one form or another. I started writing a story that includes characters and settings from a board game that I have been working on for the past year. I started drawing the characters of the story. Doing my best attempt at drawing anyway. I love the creative process of comics and would love to some day find my way into actually being published in one way or another. I find myself with a lot of stories in my head. Now it is time to flush out those ideas and try to accomplish my goal of being published.

You have been an inspiration to me. Looking through your website and reading your posts, I have seen your progress and constant improvement. Looking at your work even got me investigating the coloring process and making an attempt at coloring some sample pieces. What fun to see something go from black lines to a fully flushed out scene.

Thanks again Jeremy for chatting with me at ECCC. I hope our paths cross again.

  2. Hi Jeremy! I recently saw a print you did some time of the character Black Bolt from The Inhumans. I can’t attach it here, but it’s a full body shot of him screaming with a multishaded blue background behind him, and his tuning apparatus shining. Could you tell me if that print is available for purchase? If not, do you do any commissions (and what are your rates)? Thanks in advance, and keep up your excellent work!

    Regards,
    Sean
