This past weekend was the Emerald City ComiCon. I love this show. The Washington State Convention Center is an amazing and beautiful facility. The guest list was exceptional with popular mainstream, indie up-and-comers, and everyone in between. The publisher presence was well represented, too–even if Marvel did not have an official space, their editorial staff was around and active. And the costumes, well, it was a comic convention so let’s just say it was interesting at times. 🙂
I went with the intent of networking and getting reviews. I succeeded at both. I made both new contacts and met up with pros and fans I’ve connected with over the years. I received abundant and overwhelmingly positive reviews of my work as well as invitations from Marvel and others to follow up. I took care of much of that today.
Thanks again to each of you who took the time to talk to me, go over my portfolio, organize the show or attend. Everyone was a pleasure and I look forward to next year.
Here are the samples I showed at the con for anyone who didn’t see them yet, but would like to.
